HOW WE PLAN TO DO THE WORK
Words of Wisdom (UK) plans to start each of its projects by setting up discrete not-for-profit organisations or limited companies in those countries it seeks to help. This will be done with the long-term intention of handing them over to a local management team at the earliest possible date. Each project will provide some or all of the following:

• Training at an appropriate cost to any member of the Public that it assesses is capable of deriving benefit from it (From experience training offered at no cost has no value, and tends to result in an increase in both non-attendance and drop-out rates).

• Practical support and encouragement to Existing Teaching, Training and Aid Projects by offering specialist training in a variety of areas, to national Staff and Volunteers from the host nation.

• Similar training for local companies on a commercial basis and/or a variety of other appropriate services, as a means of generating income that will provide future sustainability.

In doing so we hope to help create a wider scope for Career Progression that will profit the whole nation, and develop a number of nationals who in turn will be capable of training their own people. It is to these people that we would look to turn over the running of the organisation in due course.

Initially, Words of Wisdom will make training available in the following subject areas:
• Basic Computer Skills
• English as a Foreign Language
• Christian Principles
• The Bible - Its Content and Purpose

In the future we also hope to be able to offer training in:
• Electrical Installation Technology
• Basic Construction Skills

In Mozambique, Words of Wisdom have set up a limited company called Words of Wisdom Lda, to deliver the training on our behalf. This company will initially be under the management of Jeff and Helen Wakeman, the Founders and current Field Directors of Words of Wisdom.
